  4.  SAILBOAT RACING IN FREMANTLE

  6.  Once upon a time there was a sleepy little town called FREMANTLE
  7. on the west coast of Australia, near a sleepy big town called
  8. PERTH.  From Fremantle, a Perthian hero called John of Bertrand
  9. had set forth on a voyage of conquest into Newport Harbor in the
  10. Land of the Giant Yacht Club of New York, armed with a sacred keel
  11. to which he had attached wings stolen from Mercury, the God of
  12. Speed.  Using this keel, he wrested possession of the mystical
  13. America's Cup away from the great Dennis of Connor, the bravest
  14. warrior of the New York Giants, and placed the Cup in a special
  15. guarded chamber in Fremantle.  Alas, the hero John failed to
  16. guard the prize himself and instead gave this duty to a small bird
  17. called Kookaburra.  The Giants soon sent their great warrior to the
  18. town of Fremantle to repossess the ancient Cup, and garbed him in a
  19. magical headdress of blood-red stripes and white stars surrounded
  20. with the blue darkness of night.  Dennis smote many false warriors
  21. who would have stolen from him his true duty, and endured the evil
  22. eyes of the dread ESPN commentators, who placed crystal spy-jewels
  23. aboard his vessel to drain his vital essences and profit from his
  24. weaknesses.  However, undaunted, Dennis plucked and baked the
  25. hapless Kookaburra there on the shores of the Ocean of Indians, and
  26. reclaimed the Cup for his village of Saint Diago in the land of the
  27. Giants.  (If this tale seems to make any sense to you at all, you are
  28. clearly burned out and ready for a change; and what better change
  29. than to emigrate to FREMANTLE, AUSTRALIA, the only place in the world
  30. you can be certain ESPN will NOT be around for the next three years
  31. to drain YOUR vital essences!)
